Patina

A dialogue with matter, between intention and accident, control and letting go, observation and patience.
What emerges has no scale.
A cartography, perhaps. A depth. A fragment of a world, seen from very far away or from infinitely close.
Or something else entirely.
Each person is free to find in it an echo of their own sensibility.

An escape elsewhere.
Territories appear without having been sought.
Contours, passages, expanses whose scale remains uncertain, somewhere between near and far, reality and imagination.
Everyone is free to see in them, in their own way, whatever carries them elsewhere.

Beneath the surface, other spaces remain.
Layers overlap, rise to the surface. Some can only be glimpsed, while others remain buried.
Strata speaks of the invisible, of what lies buried, of what accumulates and what time covers without ever quite making it disappear.
Unless.
